Leira Heart is a cardiovascular disease prevention initiative working to move beyond clinic walls, bringing cardiac screening and care to the places where people actually go for help.

Most rural and peri-urban clinics across Africa lack even a basic ECG machine. Without the ability to diagnose heart disease on the spot, patients are turned away or mis-referred. We source and install portable diagnostic tools directly into primary clinics.
Equipment means nothing without skilled hands. We certify healthcare workers in cardiac screening, patient assessment, and referral, turning frontline workers into the first cardiac responders their communities have ever had.
Awareness is the first line of defense. Many patients in our target communities don't know the signs of heart disease, don't know their blood pressure, and don't know help exists. We run counseling in local languages, teach risk-factor control, and support long-term adherence.
